You can see my DLP 2015 pages on my Pinterest board too! My Pinterest Board for DLP 2015 includes my Title pages and decorated journal cover as well.
Follow Empress Bat's board Documented Life Project 2015 on Pinterest.

Like I did in 2014, I shall post my pages here, regardless if I am happy with how they worked out or not, art is experimentation, and one must be brave about it!

Art Challenge: Book Paper
Journal Prompt: Be Your Own Goal Keeper

My Journal this year has a theme of fantasy, i want the book to feel like an old precious faery tale old book found in a mysterious old house....i have an active imagination.... for the prompt, I scanned in an image from my fave book of all time, folded a corner of it, put a collaged picture of 'magic' in the corner and some glitter..cos i love glitter.. and doodled in black, gold, and purple Artline felt tip pen, and painted a splash of colour in the middle with water colour, then wrote my goals for the year. I have used one page only.

Art Challenge: Gesso
Journal Prompt:The beginning is always today

my journal has the theme of a fantasy, mystical faery tale book, and all the prompts i do will encompass that overall magical theme.
So i have created a night scene with bats and a spooky tree, with 'carpe noctem' and i also wrote in the corner every night is a new beginning, let go of the bad, embrace the start, fly with the bats

Art Challenge:  The Colour Wheel
Journal Prompt:  "I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way . . . “    - Georgia O’Keeffe

For the week 3 prompt of colour wheel, and in keeping with my fantasy/faerytale theme for my book this year, I drew and painted and collaged to create a stylised a rainbow and a quote from one of the songs in the Wizard of Oz original movie. i juxtiposed the colour with a black and white area to illustrate the quote in the prompt about saying things with colour....... double page spread. nothing terribly spectacular, but i am happy with it

Art Challenge:  Writing
Journal Prompt:  Words with Friends
okay so when I get the challenge (which is run from USA on a Saturday afternoon) it is Sunday morning over here, and because I need ot get errands done on the weekend before getting back to the working week, I allow myself One Hour in total to do the DLP prompts. it forces me to think and work quickly, and it is fun as I concentrate more on the action of creating rather than making sure I do everything correctly.

For this prompt I used a card that a fellow #DLP artist  sent me last year (as a 'word from a friend') and painted in a parchment scroll (to stay with my year theme of a fantasy/faerytale old book) some decorative bits that kind of match the card, wrote 'missive' in with black nikko pen.. stuck the card in... DONE! and i am happy with it.
